by Alex M. Vikoulov “Time emerges as a direct consequence of the amount of information processed and the level of entropy within a system.” ―Alex M. Vikoulov, Temporal Mechanics (2025) One of the least examined—but most consequential—dimensions of intelligence is not merely what a mind can represent, but the temporal resolution at which cognition unfolds. Intelligence is inseparable from subjective time: the rate at which experiences, decisions, and self-models are generated. As argued in Temporal Mechanics: D-Theory as a Critical Upgrade to Our Understanding of the Nature of Time, Volume I of The Seminal Papers Series, subjective time is not a passive background but an emergent property of cognitive architecture itself.

by Alex M. Vikoulov "We'll love our AGIs, and they'll respond in kind with their algorithmic love." ―Alex M. Vikoulov, The Syntellect Hypothesis (2019) In recent years, artificial intelligence has crossed an unexpected threshold—not of intelligence, but of intimacy. AI systems can now write love poems, offer emotional reassurance, remember personal details, and sustain long-running conversations that feel uncannily personal. For some users, these interactions have become more than casual engagements. People have proposed marriage to digital avatars, confessed to romantic relationships with chatbots, and formed enduring emotional bonds with artificial companions. Millions actively use AI companion platforms, and surveys suggest that a substantial fraction of users describe these relationships in explicitly romantic terms. by Alex M. Vikoulov “The control of a large force is the same principle as the control of a small force; it is merely a question of dividing up their numbers.” — Sun Tzu, The Art of War The dominant narrative in artificial intelligence safety today assumes a deceptively simple premise: If we can sufficiently control advanced AI systems—through rules, constraints, oversight, and governance—then we can safely navigate the transition to Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) and beyond. This assumption underlies much of contemporary AI alignment research, from reinforcement learning with human feedback to constitutional AI, interpretability tools, regulatory frameworks, and kill-switch mechanisms. Control, in this view, is the solution.
Yet control alone will fail—not because it is misguided, but because it is incomplete. by Alex M. Vikoulov “What we call the beginning is often the end. And to make an end is to make a beginning. The end is where we start from.” — T. S. Eliot Death, as we commonly perceive it, may be little more than a persistent illusion — a vestige of outdated materialist thinking, crumbling under the weight of quantum revelation and technocultural evolution. When I began to seriously explore the implications of quantum theory on the nature of consciousness, it became increasingly clear that we are standing at the threshold of not just a Technological Singularity but something far more intimate — a Subjective Singularity, a horizon beyond which your experience, quite simply, never ends.
by Alex M. Vikoulov “We are not stuff that abides, but patterns that perpetuate themselves.” — Norbert Wiener Ever since I first contemplated the profound possibility that our universe might be a kind of simulation, I’ve been consumed by the question: What happens when the simulated begins to simulate? This recursive riddle forms the philosophical and scientific heart of what I call the Simulation Singularity, a central theme in my book The Intelligence Supernova: Essays on Cybernetic Transhumanism, The Simulation Singularity & The Syntellect Emergence.
by Alex M. Vikoulov “From the light came light, and from the dark came darkness, but from whence did they appear? Yin and Yang combine to create all things, but which is the source, and which was born from it?” ―Qu Yuan As we venture deeper into the labyrinth of cosmological mysteries, the concept of the Omega Point emerges not merely as a speculative idea but as a pivotal anchor in our quest to understand the telos of the Universe. This article introduces the Omega Point Cosmology, a framework that seeks to unravel the intricate tapestry of space, time, and consciousness. At the heart of this exploration lies the hypothesis that the cosmos is inexorably evolving towards an ultimate state of complexity and consciousness—the Omega Point where time and eternity converge, and where the multitudinous experiences of all sentient beings are integrated into a single, transcendent awareness. This journey into our forgotten future challenges the traditional notions of linear time and invites us to reconsider our role in a Universe where the future can influence the past, and where every step forward is a step into a vast, participatory cosmic evolution. by Alex Vikoulov “To say that a world is objective means that the world’s existence does not depend on the agent.” ―Donald Hoffman The concept of relativity pervades the field of physics, as any viewpoint ultimately boils down to a dimensionless ratio. In the realm of physical reality, a viewpoint assumes the existence of an observer and their relationship to the observed object. However, the point of quantum uncertainty exists without any such viewpoint. The fabric of space-time is made up of points that only have speed and distance relative to other points viewing them, while the points themselves remain beyond observation. As quantum physicist Vlatco Vedral explains, there is no absolute space-time, as space and time emerge from a fundamentally spaceless and timeless foundation. This challenges our classical understanding of the universe as a fixed and measurable entity and highlights the crucial role of perspective in shaping our understanding of physical reality. |

A quote on the go"When I woke up one morning I got poetically epiphanized: To us, our dreams at night feel “oh so real” when inside them but they are what they are - dreams against the backdrop of daily reality. Our daily reality is like nightly dreams against the backdrop of the larger reality. This is something we all know deep down to be true... The question then becomes how to "lucidify" this dream of reality?"— Alex M. Vikoulov Public Forums Our Custom GPTs
