Temporal Mechanics Redefined: The Emergent Nature of Time and Its Implications for Reality12/28/2024 by Alex M. Vikoulov "Time is what prevents everything from happening at once." – John Archibald Wheeler What if our understanding of time as a linear sequence of events is merely an illusion created by the brain's processing of reality? Could time itself be an emergent phenomenon, arising from the complex interplay of quantum mechanics, relativity, and consciousness? How might the brain's multidimensional computations, reflecting patterns found in the universe, reveal a deeper connection between mind and cosmos? Is it possible that advancements in our understanding of temporal mechanics could one day make time travel a practical reality rather than a theoretical concept? Could Quantum AI and Reversible Quantum Computing provide the tools to simulate, manipulate, and even reshape the flow of time, offering practical applications of D-Theory that bridge the gap between theoretical physics and transformative technologies? These profound questions lie at the heart of Temporal Mechanics: D-Theory as a Critical Upgrade to Our Understanding of the Nature of Time, my 2025 paper and book. D-Theory, also referred to as Quantum Temporal Mechanics, Digital Presentism, and D-Series, challenges conventional views of time as a fixed, universal backdrop to reality and instead redefines it as a dynamic interplay between the mind and the cosmos.

Consciousness: Evolution of the Mind, Documentary (2021), Official Teaser Trailer Released1/25/2021 by Alex Vikoulov “I regard consciousness as fundamental. I regard matter as derivative from consciousness. We cannot get behind consciousness. Everything that we talk about, everything that we regard as existing, postulates consciousness.” –Max Planck
The study of consciousness needs to be lifted out of the mysticism that has dominated it. Consciousness is not just a matter of philosophy or spirituality. It’s a matter of hard science. It’s a matter of understanding the brain and the mind – a pattern structure made out of information. It’s also a matter of engineering. If we can understand the functionality of the brain, its neural code, then we can build the same functionality into our computer systems. There’s no consensus on what produces consciousness, but everyone regardless of metaphysical views can agree what it is like to be conscious. Given that consciousness is subjectivity, what consciousness is like is what consciousness is. by Alex Vikoulov | Foreword to "More Than An Algorithm" by Antonin Tuynman, PhD “The measure of intelligence is the ability to change.” -Albert Einstein
As a little kid I remember hearing from my father all kinds of stories sort of like this one: A father wanted to test the intelligence of his two sons. He assigned to each of them the task of looking after a cherry tree, and promised to reward the boy whose tree would yield the best berry when harvested. by Alex Vikoulov "It will remain remarkable, in whatever way our future concepts may develop, that the very study of the external world led to the conclusion that the content of the consciousness is an ultimate reality." -Eugene Wigner We can’t help but anthropomorphize the notion of objective reality. As I make my case in the new book, The Syntellect Hypothesis: Five Paradigms of the Mind’s Evolution, objective reality does not exist, what exists instead is subjectivity, intersubjectivity (or “consensus” reality) and supersubjectivity (overmind, The Omega Hypermind in the book). This extraordinary claim apparently demands an explanation, so let’s get to it. by Antonin Tuynman, PhD “Time is a moving image of eternity.” -Plato
TIME, the reef upon which all our frail mystic ships are wrecked, has remained an elusive notion over the ages. Sages, philosophers and scientists have ventured a countless number of times into the dark arena of the hourglass in an attempt to tame the indomitable vortex of this indefinite stream. Chronos, the most fearful of Gaia's and Ouranos' children, mightily wields his scythe as he reaps the memories that we have left behind during our ephemeral stay on the stage of continuous metamorphosis. What is time? Does anyone really know? Is it a physical dimension? Is it merely a measure of recurrence? Is it a mental mechanism to be able to make sense out of everything happening simultaneously? Is it an artefact or collateral damage of consciousness trying to observe its inner workings? FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Ecstadelic Media Group releases a new non-fiction book The Origins of Us: Evolutionary Emergence and The Omega Point Cosmology by Alex M. Vikoulov as a Kindle ebook (Press Release, San Francisco, CA, USA, April 22, 2019 01.00 PM PST) The Science and Philosophy of Information book series is adapted for general audience from the previously published grand volume titled “The Syntellect Hypothesis: Five Paradigms of the Mind’s Evolution,” a treatise by digital philosopher Alex Vikoulov on the ultimate nature of reality, consciousness, the physics of time, and philosophy of mind. In this book one of the series, The Origins of Us: Evolutionary Emergence and The Omega Point Cosmology, the author addresses some of the most flaming questions in science and philosophy: Where do we come from? What are the origins of us? What is our role in the grand scheme of things? by Alex Vikoulov "My logic is undeniable." -VIKI, I-Robot Listen to this article ↴ In my new book "The Syntellect Hypothesis: Five Paradigms of the Mind's Evolution," the famed Simulation Hypothesis is progressively morphed into the Syntellect Hypothesis as the more logically plausible and parsimonious alternative. Without any more spoilers to those who haven't read the book yet, I'd like to elaborate here on the Simulation Theory and the Simulation Argument by Oxford professor Nick Bostrom who argues that at least one of the following propositions is true: (1) the human species is very likely to go extinct before reaching a “posthuman” stage; (2) any posthuman civilization is extremely unlikely to run a significant number of simulations of their evolutionary history (or variations thereof); (3) WE ARE ALMOST CERTAINLY LIVING IN A COMPUTER SIMULATION. It follows that the belief that there is a significant chance that we will one day become posthumans who run ancestor-simulations is false, unless we are currently living in a simulation. |

A quote on the go"When I woke up one morning I got poetically epiphanized: To us, our dreams at night feel “oh so real” when inside them but they are what they are - dreams against the backdrop of daily reality. Our daily reality is like nightly dreams against the backdrop of the larger reality. This is something we all know deep down to be true... The question then becomes how to "lucidify" this dream of reality?"— Alex M. Vikoulov Public Forums Our Custom GPTs
