by Alex Vikoulov "[O]ne new theory says that Dark Matter may be ordinary matter in a parallel universe. If a galaxy is hovering above in another dimension, we would not be able to see it. It would be invisible, yet we would feel its gravity. Hence, it might explain Dark Matter." –Michio Kaku
The first stars illuminated the cold and dark early cosmos, then collapsed into the black holes that along with Dark Matter formed galaxies and superclusters visible today. How do we know that Dark Matter exists? We know it exists because we can see its gravitational effect on the visible stars and galaxies. Our own Milky Way galaxy could not have dragged in enough matter to make its stars in the 13.8 billion years since the Big Bang without the presence of some invisible stuff whose extra gravity kept things together as a glue. The European Space Agency calculated that Dark Matter accounts for 26.8% of the mass-energy of the Universe compared with the 4.5% of normal ‘fermionic’ matter. It means that Dark Matter outweighs ordinary matter by a factor of about six. by Antonin Tuynman, PhD | Foreword to The Syntellect Hypothesis: Five Paradigms of the Mind's Evolution by Alex M. Vikoulov "At a deep level all things in our Universe are ineffably interdependent and interconnected, as we are part of the Matryoshka-like mathematical object of emergent levels of complexity where consciousness pervades all levels." -Alex M. Vikoulov, The Syntellect Hypothesis If you picked up this book, it is not unlikely that you may have heard of the early 20th century philosophical movement of Cosmism. This movement, which originated in Russia, was striving for conquering the planets and stars, for radical life extension, immortality and resurrection of our loved ones by the means of technology. Perhaps one of its most important pioneers was Konstantin Tsiolkovsky, whose aspirations did not only venture into the realm of the Macro, but also explored the Micro. He spoke of the atomic world as being animated and can thus be considered a kind of cosmist-panpsychist. by Alex Vikoulov
"Evolution is a process of creating patterns of increasing order... I believe that it's the evolution of patterns that constitutes the ultimate story of our world. Each stage or epoch uses the information-processing methods of the previous epoch to create the next." -Ray Kurzweil "To understand is to perceive patterns." -Isaiah Berlin About 542 million years ago, something weird and profoundly significant happened on Earth. Quite suddenly, life went insanely inventive, proliferating from simple, rudimentary single-celled organisms into myriad multi-cellular forms. Evolution discovered the idea of more sophisticated and specialized cells, and most of the basic body plans we know today. Biologists call it the Cambrian explosion. Today, we are on the verge of yet another event of astronomical significance, akin to some kind of Intelligence Supernova, which I refer to as the Cybernetic Singularity, or the Syntellect Emergence. In the scientific community, this upcoming intelligence explosion is also known as the Technological Singularity. Surprisingly enough, most people are still simply oblivious of this rapidly approaching "galactic event" that so many of us are about to witness in our lifetimes.* by Alex Vikoulov “We’re searching for intelligent, conscious, tool-making beings that have developed a language we’re capable of understanding. We’re searching for intelligent conscious, tool-making, communicative beings that live in social groups (so they can reap the benefits of civilization) and that develop the tools of science and mathematics. We’re searching for ourselves.” -Stephen Webb
by Alex M. Vikoulov "A powerful work! As a transhumanist, I especially loved one of the main ideas of the book that the Syntellect Emergence, merging of us into one Global Mind, constitutes the quintessence of the coming Technological Singularity. The novel conceptual visions of mind-uploading and achieving digital immortality are equally fascinating. The Chrysalis Conjecture as a solution to the Fermi Paradox is mind-bending. I would highly recommend The Syntellect Hypothesis to anyone with transhumanist aspirations and exponential thinking!" -Zoltan Istvan, futurist, author, founder of the U.S. Transhumanist Party Terms such as 'Artificial Intelligence' or 'Neurotechnology' were new some time not so long ago. We can't evolve faster than our language does. We think in concepts and evolution itself is a linguistic, code-theoretic process. Do yourself a humongous favor, look over these 33 transhumanist neologisms. Here’s a fairly comprehensive glossary of thirty three newly-introduced concepts and terms from "The Syntellect Hypothesis: Five Paradigms of the Mind's Evolution" by Russian-American futurist, evolutionary cyberneticist and philosopher of mind Alex M. Vikoulov. In parts written as an academic paper, in parts as a belletristic masterpiece, this recent book is an exceptionally easy read for an intellectual reader -- a philosophical treatise that is fine-tuned with apt neologisms readily explained by given definitions and contextually: *Video presentation short clip included "Your life is a dream. It's a dream of reality. This purposeful computational process is centered around one objective, one guiding principle only, one “raison d’être” - to produce a meaningful experience... Everettian Many Worlds nonsensical experiences are invariably purged and rendered non-existent.... We all are like droplets on the cobweb of reality reflecting one another... To us, our dreams at night are like they are - dreams against the backdrop of daily reality. Our daily reality is like nightly dreams against the backdrop of the larger reality." -Alex Vikoulov
Immediately following the January release of my new book "The Syntellect Hypothesis: Five Paradigms of the Mind's Evolution" I gave this presentation in San Francisco that could answer some of the most important questions regarding some of the concepts and gist of the book. |

A quote on the go"When I woke up one morning I got poetically epiphanized: To us, our dreams at night feel “oh so real” when inside them but they are what they are - dreams against the backdrop of daily reality. Our daily reality is like nightly dreams against the backdrop of the larger reality. This is something we all know deep down to be true... The question then becomes how to "lucidify" this dream of reality?"— Alex M. Vikoulov Public Forums Our Custom GPTs
